Cherished Memories is an intermediate piano duet built around lyrical lines and broad broken-chord accompaniment. Melody moves between the primo and secondo parts, so each player takes a melodic role during the piece. It opens quietly in G major with accompaniment alone, then builds through a key change to B-flat major, where rich chords support the melody. The 3/4 meter maintains a gentle motion before both parts fade toward the closing primo chord.
