Burstbucker Type 2 brings the Burstbucker approach to a medium-output humbucker intended for use in any position. Alnico II magnets and historically uneven bobbin windings deliver the model’s described airy, full sound, with added highs when driven. It is not wax potted and uses vintage braided two-conductor wiring. For a guitar setup that needs a Type 2’s medium-output voice without being limited to one pickup position, this is the relevant model in the series.
