Aquarian’s 14-inch Texture Coated Reflector uses a two-ply 17-mil layout: a dense 10-mil lower film beneath a 7-mil Classic Nu-Brite upper layer. In use, that combination is voiced to stay warm and musical at lower playing levels, then bring out brighter, more defined response as the snare is played harder. The thicker coating is also intended to soften the snare’s overtone character. It is a focused option for a 14-inch snare setup where those changing dynamics matter.
