Built to expand an existing audio-interface setup, ASP880 puts eight Console microphone preamps, eight mic/line inputs, eight line inputs and outputs, and conversion into a 1U rack unit. Two front-panel JFET D.I. inputs provide direct connection for guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum machine. Its digital outputs include ADAT/SMUX plus AES and S/PDIF, while Word Clock I/O supports integration with a wider recording rig. It is a practical way to add channels for larger sessions, including drum recordings.
