beyerdynamic’s M 201 is a dynamic moving-coil microphone built around a Hostaphan diaphragm and a hypercardioid pattern. Its 40Hz–18kHz response, high-SPL handling, and fast transient behavior suit sources from snare drums and guitar amplifiers to acoustic instruments and speech. The focused pickup reduces side and rear bleed in multi-mic work and helps minimize feedback onstage. A slim brass housing makes placement easier in close spaces, while the hum-compensation coil reduces electromagnetic interference.
