Description

With its 000 body, the BR-243 brings together a premium solid Adirondack spruce top and select solid mahogany back and sides. Handcarved forward-shifted X-bracing is part of the design behind its resonant, balanced response and clear articulation; the mahogany body is described as warm and woody. The slim mahogany neck joins an ebony fingerboard and bridge, with a 1.75-inch bone nut and nickel-plated 14:1 tuners. Natural high gloss with aging toner, tortoise body and soundhole binding, and floral pearl-and-abalone headstock inlay give it a detailed prewar-style appearance.
