The Custom Light 11-52 version of D’Addario XS Acoustic pairs phosphor bronze strings with protection aimed at longer service. Wound strings use an ultrathin polymer coating to shield against corrosion and buildup, while the plain steels receive their own polymer treatment. The set is rated for up to 200 hours of playing time. High-carbon NY Steel cores and plain wire provide tensile strength, and the treatment on the plain strings is intended to reduce slippage and support stable tuning.
