Microtubes X uses a split-band approach to bass distortion: the low-pass side stays clean while CMOS distortion is applied to the high-pass side, then the two are blended back together. In practice, that keeps the low end separate from the crunch, attack, and harmonics generated above it. Low- and high-pass cutoff controls, drive, mix, mids, and output level keep the workflow direct in a compact pedal. It connects between an instrument and an amplifier or next effect.
