EVANS’ 8-inch UV2 coated drum head brings together two 7-mil film layers, for 14 mil overall, and a UV-cured playing surface. That coating is made to resist dents, splits, scratches, stretching, and wear while offering the texture and sensitivity associated with brush work. The result is described as warm and rich with a pre-EQ’d attack for rock, funk, and heavy playing. A Level 360 collar improves shell contact to make tuning easier and broaden the available range.
