Fishman’s PowerTap Earth pairs a Rare Earth Humbucker with a soundboard body sensor in one active pickup system. The two sources bring Touch, Ambience, and Percussion performance dynamics into the same guitar setup. Its adjustable Blend control combines the signals in mono for a single output path. With a stereo cable, the Rare Earth and Tap signals can instead feed separate channels, allowing independent effects, level, and EQ decisions. The system is presented as easy to install and suited to players building tactile, percussive acoustic parts.
