Forestone White Bamboo is a strength-3 alto saxophone reed made from a polypropylene-resin and cellulose-wood-fiber composite, with bamboo accounting for more than half of its wood fiber. Injection molding produces smooth, consistent vamps, and the standard profile tapers to a 0.1 mm tip. The material is designed to resist water-logging, saliva breakdown, and warping from humidity or altitude changes. Resistance can be changed by repositioning the reed on the mouthpiece table.
