Description
Plasma Rack puts Gamechanger Audio’s High Voltage Distortion process in a 1U studio effects unit. An incoming instrument signal passes through a step-up flyback transformer and drives electrical discharges in a xenon tube; a purpose-built electromagnetic receiver returns the result to audio level. The process creates heavy distortion along with harmonics and overtones. Balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4-inch TS outputs, MIDI In/Through/Out, and an assignable expression input provide extensive connection and control options.
