Built around slightly overwound balanced coils, the Double Black ’57 Classic Plus is a humbucker voiced for warm, creamy response with rich, full character. It was conceived as the bridge partner for a ’57 Classic, retaining the vintage-leaning character while adding the Plus model’s extra winding. An Alnico 2 magnet, maple spacers, braided two-conductor wiring, and wax potting complete the design. The potting addresses microphonic feedback when the pickup is played clean or overdriven.
