Gibson’s ’80s Flying V takes its direction from the 1984 version of the model. The Ebony-finished mahogany solidbody carries two ’80s Tribute humbuckers, with separate volume controls and a master tone for working between the pickups. Its SlimTaper mahogany neck is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, while the fixed bridge and stopbar tailpiece keep the hardware layout straightforward. Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a hardshell case round out this right-handed six-string.
