Gibson Custom’s Custombucker is a humbucker pickup built around the sound character of early 1950s Patent Applied For designs. Its Alnico III magnets are described as warm and sweet, while 42 AWG wire and intentionally uneven coil windings follow that period-oriented recipe. The coils are left unpotted, making this a historically focused pickup choice rather than a design built around wax-potted operation. This version is finished in black.
