Grover’s black chrome Mid-Size Locking Rotomatics 406 machines use a locking cam at each string post. Feed the string through its hole, pull it to tension by hand, then begin tuning: the cam rotates first to lock the string, after which the post turns to bring it to pitch. The process is designed to reach pitch in less than one full rotation, while 18:1 gearing provides precise tuning control. Smaller buttons keep the mid-size format compact.
