The Ignition Special Edition (SE) basses are based on the Hfner violin basses from the 1960s. the Ignition basses have a hollow body. In addition to the classic control panel with Tea Cup knobs, they are equipped with a wooden bridge and trapeze tailpiece and carry the traditional Hfner logo on the body.

With authentic details inspired by the original, the Hofner Vintage Style Bass makes the legendary violin bass available to the rest of us.The hollow body and set neck will give you the warm, round tone you expect from the violin bass.

The Hofner Beatle Bass includes genuine Hofner Bass staple pickups and surrounds

On the electronics side, you’re working with two original Hfner humbucking pickups, as well as a control panel with 2 volume controls, 2 on/off switches, and a rhythm/solo switch for volume boost.

The overall sound is warm like the original model, but with a little more sonic kick for a more “now” sound.
