Purpose-built for rack and floor tom recording, the Lauten Audio Tom Mic is a side-address FET condenser with a supercardioid pattern and selectable analog filtering. Its response is voiced around tom attack and body, with cited shaping near 1–2kHz, 3kHz, and 5kHz. Flat, 5kHz, and 12kHz high-cut choices, plus 80Hz and 140Hz low cuts, give an engineer practical ways to refine bright overtones, crosstalk, or low-frequency rumble at the microphone. The articulating swivel mount supports positioning around the kit.
