The Lyons Diatonic Alto xylophone is arranged to make note relationships tangible in school sessions, private lessons, and practice at home. Handcrafted aged-wood bars are hand-lathed and hand-tuned, working with an all-wood chamber and metal resonators for a warm, resonant sound. Its C5–A6 diatonic layout includes F-sharp, B-flat, and high F-sharp bars, opening work in C, F, and G major. Color-coded bars help link pitch to visual patterns, while soft-core wound yarn mallets are included.
