Lyons’ Diatonic Bass xylophone brings a handcrafted wood-bar layout to classroom, lesson, and home-practice work. The aged-wood bars are hand-lathed and hand-tuned, paired with an all-wood chamber and metal resonators for warm, resonant sound and audible overtones. Across C5–A6, the diatonic pattern includes F-sharp, B-flat, and high F-sharp for C, F, and G major. Multi-colored bars provide a visual reference for the layout, and soft-core wound yarn mallets come with the instrument.
