Description

Pegasus is a 14 x 5.5 in. maple/walnut snare with a 7-ply, 6.15 mm shell and a warm, dark tonal profile. Its thinner shell construction is paired with Mapex Sonic Saver steel hoops, which sit between triple-flange and die-cast hoop approaches. The inward-folded, rounded hoop shape is designed to keep the response focused and drier than triple-flange hoops without the damping associated with die-cast hoops. Expect clean, punchy rim shots from the setup.
