MEINL’s Artisan Series Cantina Line Cajon combines a 9-ply, 12 mm Baltic birch resonating body with a walnut frontplate. An extra-thick wooden ring at the sound port is used for bass compression, while the two sets of eight micro-coiled metal strings create a snapping snare response. Those strings are adjustable with the included tuning key, allowing the player to alter that part of the instrument’s setup. The drum is made in Spain and finished with a decorative wood inlay.
