MXR’s M249 Super Badass Dynamic O.D. is an overdrive pedal built around the company’s Dynamic Circuit. Set the drive level, then use pick attack or the guitar’s volume control to move from cleaner sounds toward greater saturation. Output, Tone, Gain, and Boost/Cut controls provide the pedal’s front-panel adjustments, with MOSFET clipping diodes in the circuit. The metal enclosure and footswitch suit gigging and studio use, and power is available from a 9V battery or the included AC adapter.
