Ovation’s 1516 Ultra Series combines a mid-depth, non-cutaway Lyrachord bowl with a thermo-treated solid spruce top and scalloped X-bracing. The result is a lightweight guitar that can be held close for fingerpicking or open-chord strumming, with bright highs and a focused midrange. Its 20-fret khaya neck and Indian laurel fingerboard cover chord work and higher-fret phrasing. Plug in through the OCP-2000 pickup and K-21CT preamp to use onboard EQ, a notch filter, and the built-in tuner.
