Built for medium-hard marimba work in marching percussion, the SPYR SM4 pairs a grey yarn head with a birch handle and natural finish. Its slightly enlarged head and internal brass weight are designed to bring out a full fundamental while retaining enough presence to be heard within an ensemble. The shaft is thicker than a traditional marimba mallet shaft, giving the mallet its intended balance and durability for indoor or outdoor use.
