Recording King’s RAM-3 Dirty 30s is an eight-string A-style mandolin built with a solid spruce top, maple back and sides, tone-bar bracing, and a 1-3/4-inch body depth. Its f-holes and internal bracing are designed for clarity, balance, resonance, and dynamic response; the description also characterizes its voice as warm, bright, and articulate. A maple Thin C neck joins a 20-fret Revebond fingerboard, with a 13.7-inch scale and 1-inch nut. An ebony bridge and ivory-button tuning machines complete the instrument.
