ALTA Ambipoly 3+ is an alto saxophone jazz reed made from Silverstein Works’ symphonic material. Before playing, soak it for two to three minutes, then allow a one-time 10-to-20-minute pairing process for the reed to conform to the mouthpiece and player’s embouchure. After that initial preparation, it can be adjusted with a reed knife or sandpaper. Its moisture-absorbing design is intended to maintain a close mouthpiece seal and consistent strength.
