Zoom’s H6essential is a portable recorder that captures up to six tracks simultaneously in 32-bit float WAV at 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz. The included XYH-6e X/Y capsule supplies a stereo pair, and its interchangeable-capsule system can be adapted with separately available options. Four XLR/TRS inputs are provided for external sources, while the recorder supports microSDHC and microSDXC media. It is built for location sessions where multiple sources need discrete tracks rather than a single stereo recording.
